Asbestos Abatement Worker

The asbestos abatement worker course is a 4-day course approved by the EPA for the purpose of accreditation of asbestos abatement workers under Section 206 of T.S.C.A. and by the State of Ohio Department of Health. The course meets or exceeds all AHERA requirements. The class covers all required subject matter as required by EPA, OSHA, and the ODH and consist of both classroom and hands-on activities.

Graduates are required to complete a written exam consisting of fifty multiple choice questions with a score of 70% or better. Successful completion of the course qualifies graduates to apply for a state asbestos workers license from the Ohio Department of Health.

Asbestos Abatement Worker Renewal

The training center also offers a one day renewal as is required by the EPA and the Ohio Department of Health to maintain a workers certification to perform asbestos work.  This course is required annually and is offered several times though out the year.

Asbestos Awareness

This 4-hour course is offered on an as-needed bases.  It covers what asbestos is, how to recognize asbestos hazards and the health effects of asbestos exposure.  This course does not qualify a worker to perform asbestos abatement work.
