Successful completion of this two-day course will prepare you for testing to become an approved ODOT WTS (Ohio Department of Trasportation Workzone Traffic Supervisor.

Subject matter in this course includes:

• Fundamental principles of traffic control

• Traffic control devices

• Ohio Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (OMUTCD)

• ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) standard construction drawings

• ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) construction materials and specifications

• ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) WZSZ (Work Zone Speed Zone) DSL (Dynamic Speed Limits) quality standards

Graduates must demonstrate proficiency in traffic control by passing a 40 question written exam with a score of 80% or better. ODOT WTS Qualification will be issued by ODOT upon passing the ODOT Testl

Prerequisite:

• 2000 hours of varifiable traffic control experience.
