Carpenter Tending & Pneumatic Tools (B-3)

This five-day course consists of three parts. The handling and identification of forms and hardware, identification of lumber and nail sizes.

The course continues with the use of various pneumatic tools and sandblasting equipment.

Graduates are required to demonstrate proficiency in carpenter tending and must be able identify various form hardware, commonly used lumber and make measurements with a standard rule to within 1/16″.  They must demonstrate the ability to select, handle, clean and store panels and component parts. Graduates must also demonstrate proficiency in the safe hook-up and use of pavement breakers, rock drills, chipping hammers, and sandblasting equipment.
